Nicolina - Abyss

( Soothing beats soothing music and wonderful lyrics. In a Q & A session on Instagram Nicolina share that "she was feeling a lot of guilt about how she treated a girl in one of her past relationships", thus through this song she was admitting her flaws and expressing her regret, in hopes one day she'll (that girl) forgive her. )

Sittin' by this waterfall

You haven't said nothing at all

But your eyes tell me a million things

They're electrical

I should've let you know

I do some things you can't forgive

I've been the worst and I admit

But you deserve the world

I pulled you into the abyss

And painted pictures with our kiss

Wasn't fair at all

Yet I blame you again

Now I'm realizing who I've been

So I thank you instead

Praying one day you will understand

Praying one day you will understand

I am a prisoner of love

Fighting to be deserving of

But I say what I want

Do what I need

Anything that can set me free

I do some things you can't forgive

I've been the worst and I admit

But you deserve the world

I pulled you into the abyss

And painted pictures with our kiss

Wasn't fair at all

Yet I blame you again

Now I'm realizing who I've been

So I thank you instead

Praying one day you will understand

Praying one day you will understand

This song full of poetry with love and pain will dive into your ocean of emotions. So enjoy this beautiful piece.) Mmm, mmm, mmm Flowers in hand, waiting for me Every word in poetry Won't call me by name, only "baby" The more that you give, the less that I need Everyone says I look happy When it feels right I know that you're wrong for me Gonna wish we never met on the day I leave I brought you down to your knees 'Cause they say that misery loves company It's not your fault I ruin everything And it's not your fault I can't be what you need Baby, angels like you can't fly down hell with me I'm everything they said I would be La, la, la I'm everything they said I would be I'll put you down slow, love you goodbye Before you let go, just one more time Take off your clothes, pretend that...

Sufi Sun a South Asian Pakistani Queer

Sufi Malik aka Sufi Sun born and brought up in a Pakistani Sunni Muslim family in New York. She is a photographer, poet, an art teacher, and a lover. She left her family at the age of 17 to live her real own version of Sufi, doing everything on her own for herself making her own chosen family and community. It was not as smooth as we can ever imagine to come up with a thing which is so unacceptable to our own family that they can disown us for that or whatever and the so-called crime she has done to be a "gay" or "queer" but it was not her choice to being a queer it is how it is.  And I am so glad that she didn't give up at any point in time in her journey. And came up as the icon for many Asian queer youths who still are not able to collect that courage to be open about their sexuality to their family friends and so-called society who never ever be there for them unless they do have some needs.
