Child Sexual Abuse & Parent's Role Towards Their Child

We all aware of the sexual abuse in India and how is it getting worst and more worst day by day. The data of the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) 2018, revealed that a total of 109 children were sexually abused on daily basis in India.

In 2018, 21,605 child rapes were recorded in India, in which 21,401 rapes of girls and 204 rapes of boys, data showed. In 2019 between April to September 609 cases of child sexual abuse from across the states were reported with Child-line.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) defines Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) as "the involvement of a child in sexual activity that he or she does not fully comprehend, is unable to give informed consent to, or for which the child is not developmentally prepared and cannot give consent, or that violates the laws or social taboos of society". Child Sexual abuse includes an array of sexual activities like fondling, inviting a child to touch or be touched sexually, intercourse, exhibitionism, involving a child in prostitution or pornography, or online child luring by cyber-predators.

The above data is only the recorded one, the ones officially recorded. There are 'n' number's of cases which were never get filled because of many reasons such as there are many cases in which child didn't have any idea about what is happening with them, in some cases children weren't able to explain it properly about what is happening with them, sometimes they threatened by the abuser, sometimes their own family do nothing even after knowing the suffering of their children, sometimes family didn't file the official complaint or did not take any action because of their so-called "respect and reputation in society".

There are cases in which children sexually abused by their own family members. Sometimes they abused by their own father, brother, cousin brother, uncle and aunt or their close relatives. This is the worst scenario we can ever imagine not only for the child but for us as a "responsible society" as well. In this scenario, there are various chances that the child suffers a trust issue, make themselves so isolated that somehow turned into mental illness or depression.

This kind of experience also haunted them during their adulthood or when they entered into relationships, which makes things difficult for themselves and their partners. Somehow that void never that bad experiences never gone away from their mind and souls but as parents, we can help them out to deal with these situations and stand by them.

Sex Education for Children: importance, Expected Questions & Tips

In India, talking about sex is a taboo, which is needed to be broken otherwise things can be so worst. As parents, we need to talk about sex to our children. There is so much need for "Sex Education" in India, which should be started by the family and school itself.

Parents need to be friendly with their children so that they didn't feel any awkwardness while sharing anything with them. Parents need to be so supportive and understanding with children while they are sharing something with them. And during the sexual abuse, they should be standing by their children no matter what.

School also plays the simultaneously most important role in child behavior and "Sex Education" while educating children about their intimate parts of their body, good touch & bad touch and etc.

Well, there are other cases of orphan children, child labor, where they are abused by their head of the system, there are also cases of child porn, child trafficking not only in India but around the world about which we must take some action to stop this and do report if we know anything about it or we know any child who is or was dealing with these situations. There are few organizations to whom we can report any child abuse. Check the link-

A few days ago I got to know that child predators can go online and purchase a "life-like child sex doll" for their sexual fantasies of raping children. And the so-called "child sex dolls" are legal to import in the United States, legal to possess and sell in most states.

Can you believe it..? I mean what is happening with this world. So upsetting.

Well, help me to make these "child sex dolls" illegal by signing this petition. ( http://chng.it/dS45cnjp )

Financial Independence And Women

Why financial independence is important for women? I asked why not?? Yes financial independence is important for all regardless of men and women, but in our patriarchal society where men's have all the rights to do things, where men's are the sole decision-maker in the house, women's did not have the basic rights to do things (what to wear what to not, where to spend money where to not, buy something, which job we should do or we shouldn't etc.) they have to take permission for all these things. Financial Independence as important as your identity is or we can see financial independence as a tool to define our own identity. Financial independence is as much as important to financial freedom. Well, now you must be curious about what exactly financial independence is? Financial independence is enough income to pay our own living expenses without any kind of dependence. Whereas Financial freedom is when you can spend money without any kind of constraint or stress. Well yo...
